Brazilians started the week off on the right foot Monday morning celebrating their 2-0 World Cup win over Belgium as if it was carnival time in June.

But there still were those who weren’t convinced the Brazilians will defeat England, their quarterfinal opponent, if they don’t improve.

“My God what a hard game. For a while I thought we would lose. Our defense was terrible and we let them move all over the place,” said Maria Neide dos Santos, a housekeeper.

Said 20-year-old student Patrico Rodrigues: “We didn’t play well and had it not been for [goalkeeper] Marcos we would have lost even with the two goals scored by Ronaldo and Rivaldo. If we continue this way, England will slaughter us.”
