Quake Jangles Nerves, Causes Little Damage

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted central Chile, sending panic-stricken office workers fleeing from swaying skyscrapers in Santiago and causing minor damage but no injuries in small towns, officials said.
The quake’s epicenter was about 250 miles north of Santiago, the capital, according to the U.S. National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo.
