GUARDS

KAREEM RUSH, Missouri - Considered to be one of the best outside shooters available.

JAY WILLIAMS, Duke - Well-rounded point guard ticketed for the Chicago Bulls as No. 2 pick.

DAJUAN WAGNER, Memphis - Has the size (6-3) of point guard, but plays as a shooting guard.

JIRI WELSCH, Czech Republic - Good on drive and from outside, he’s perhaps best of the Europeans in the draft.

CARON BUTLER, Connecticut - Coveted for his 6-7, 235-pound size at the “small” forward spot.

DREW GOODEN, Kansas - Had more than 1,000 points, 900 rebounds, 100 blocks and 100 steals.

CHRIS WILCOX, Maryland - Reserve as a freshman, led Terrapins to NCAA title as a high-flying sophomore.

CENTERS

YAO MING, China - The prized selection in the draft, he’s destined to become a Houston Rocket.

CURTIS BORCHARDT, Stanford - Stock slipped a good deal, but still an intriguing pick because of size, skill.
