Man, 28, Killed in Drive-By Shooting
A 28-year-old man was fatally wounded Thursday during a drive-by shooting in Southeast Los Angeles, police said.
The man was standing near West 92nd Street and Baring Cross Avenue at around 6:12 p.m. when gunfire erupted from a passing green, late-1990s Honda Accord, LAPD Sgt. R.L. Johnson said.
The shooting was likely gang-related, Johnson said.
The victim was taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center with a .45-caliber bullet wound and pronounced dead on arrival, Johnson said.
Johnson said there were two suspects in the car.
