3 Teens Hurt When Car Spins, Hits Light Pole
Three teenagers were injured--one critically--when their car smashed into a light pole at nearly 90 mph Saturday, authorities said.
Daniel Kim, 19, a passenger in the car, underwent surgery at UCI Medical Center, where officials said Saturday evening that he remained in critical condition.
The car’s driver and a second passenger were taken to separate hospitals with moderate injuries, said Fullerton Police Senior Officer Fred Bybee.
Police said the three were in a 1994 Acura Integra that was westbound in the 2100 block of Rosecrans Avenue when the car spun out of control about 1:15 a.m. It struck a curb and then smashed into the light pole, nearly splitting the car in two, police said.
