Shootings Leave 2 Dead, 1 in Critical Condition
Two men died in separate shootings in the San Fernando Valley, police said Saturday.
A man was killed while leaving a party in the 11100 block of De Haven Avenue in Pacoima about 1 a.m. Saturday, Los Angeles police detectives said. The attacker was among a large group of people milling in the street and fled the scene, police said. Authorities had not identified the victim by late Saturday. They had no suspects and were investigating the shooting as possibly gang-related.
Late Friday night or early Saturday, two rival gang members opened fire on each other in the 13200 block of Vanowen Street in North Hollywood, leaving one man dead, said Sgt. Tom Toutant. The other man was listed in critical condition at County-USC Medical Center, he said. The identities of the men were not available.
