Trailer Fire Kills 6 Kids; No Adults Were at Home
From Times Wire Reports
A fire swept through a mobile home in Tchula, killing six preteen children, authorities said.
No adults were home when authorities responded to the fire at 1:43 a.m., Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said. He said the children were two sets of three siblings.
March said the state fire marshal’s office was investigating, but a preliminary account showed a candle the children were using probably burned down and started the fire.
