How to vote

Share

Voters can choose one of two ways to cast ballots in the Nov. 5 election:

By mail: The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is Tuesday. Applications are on the back page of the sample ballot or can be downloaded from the Web at www.oc.ca.gov/election.

To be counted, absentee ballots may be dropped off at any Orange County polling location on election day or delivered to the registrar of voters’ office by 8 p.m. election day.

If you cannot return the ballot personally, you can designate only certain relatives to deliver your absentee ballot for you. These relatives are your spouse, brother or sister, parent, grandparent, child or grandchild.
