Teacher Charged With Murder of Girlfriend

A Long Beach high school Spanish teacher was charged with first-degree murder Tuesday in connection with the slaying of his 19-year-old live-in girlfriend.
Pedro Tepoz Leon, 34, who was suffering from stab wounds when he was arrested Monday night in Vacaville, Calif., told authorities he had been involved in an assault.
Mayra Mora Lopez, who graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in June, was fatally stabbed over the weekend.
