L.A. Zoo Offers Activities for Children
In addition to the sleepovers, the zoo’s education department offers a variety of single-session, age-appropriate zoo activities.

Toddler Totes The Nose Knows: Sept. 10-12 and 15; Crouching Tiger, Hoppin’ Kangaroo: Oct. 1-3 and 6; Creature Costumes: Nov. 5-7 and 9; I’m All Ears: Dec. 3-5 and 8. All sessions available at 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Age 2, with an adult. $10-13, child-adult pair, additional participants, $5-$7.
Critters ‘n’ Kids Snakes Alive!: Sept. 21-24; Pouched Pals: Oct. 20-22. All sessions available at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Ages 3 and 4, with an adult. $18-23, child-adult pair, additional participants, $9-$12; Fast and the Slow: Nov. 16-18.
Zookapers Beastly Buffet: Sept. 28; Gentle Giants: Oct. 12; Bearly There: Nov. 2. All available at 9:30 a.m. and noon. Ages 5 and 6, with an adult. $18-$23.
Wild Planet Ghosts of Madagascar: Oct. 5 (held quarterly) 7 p.m. Ages 10-13, $20-$30.
Zoorific Family Fun Creatures of the Night: Oct. 5 and 6; You are What You Eat: Nov. 16 and 17. All sessions available at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. All ages. $2-$3.
