From Staff and Wire Reports
UCI Medical Center in Orange will remember the more than 3,000 victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks by collecting 3,000 units of blood.
The blood drive begins Wednesday, the first anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and will continue until the goal is met, officials say.
Last September, hundreds of people donated blood at UCI in the wake of the attacks.
Appointments to donate toward the goal may be made at (714) 456-5433.
