Disney Gives $500,000 to Local Organizations

The Disneyland Resort gave away $500,000 in grants Tuesday to 100 Orange County agencies during its annual Community Service Awards ceremony.
Canning Hunger of Brea received this year’s top award, $50,000.
The organization trains volunteers to hold regular neighborhood drives for food and distribute it to the needy.
During the awards’ 45-year history, grants totaling more than $7.5 million have been given to local organizations.
