Anti-Gang Effort Nets 4 Arrests in a Week
The Oxnard Police Department’s anti-gang efforts, bolstered after a recent spate of violence, led to the arrest of four alleged gang members and the seizure of four handguns in three incidents last week.
Luis Limon, 19, was arrested near Redwood Street and Ventura Road, and a semiautomatic handgun was seized, police said.
Daniel Frenes, 33, who is wanted on a felony arrest warrant, was taken into custody after an officer saw him walking in south Oxnard. Frenes allegedly discarded a semiautomatic handgun and methamphetamine before the arrest, according to authorities.
Raul and Rafael Palazuelos, 22 and 21, were arrested when handguns were found on each after officers responded to a theft complaint at a motel on Oxnard Boulevard.
