Track’s Parade of 2-Year-Olds Starts Tonight

The babies are back.

The first 2-year-old race of the meet will be run as tonight’s third. The $7,500 affair at 300 yards attracted six entrants, including two trained by Carlos Lopez.

Winning at around a 15% rate so far at the meet, Lopez will send out Wired To Fly and Jazzing Hi.

Blane Schvaneveldt and Donna McArthur will unveil Flipnfly and Honor And Cherish, respectively.

Also owned by Schvaneveldt, Flipnfly is a son of Strawfly Special while Honor And Cherish is a First Down Dash filly owned by David and Susan Mackie. Flipnfly, who will be ridden by Eddie Aceves, will break from the outside post while Honor And Cherish and jockey Sam Thompson will leave from the rail.

The other two entrants are Shake The Dice, a Bono Jazz colt trained by Paul Price and Marmet Two, a son of First Down Express trained by Scott Willoughby.

The picks: 1. America’s Princess. 2. Splash Of Gucci. 3. Marmet Two. 4. Virnima. 5. Expocito. 6. Trip Dlite Fantastic. 7. Spanish Gypsy. 8. Zee Wayne. 9. Quanah Cartel.

Four! Single America’s Princess in the first, use Raise A Legend and Splash Of Gucci in the second, all in the third and Virnima and Amber Croixnoire in the fourth.

Shots in the dark: Aubrey Ren moves to jockey Joe Badilla, Jr. in the sixth. Doubt Her Not goes for a new barn after a claim in the seventh.
