If They Rebuild It, He Won’t Come
How can anyone justify $450 million to rebuild the Rose Bowl or any stadium for that matter? Doesn’t it have to be cheaper to start from scratch at a different location?
Also, any other practical location would undoubtedly benefit from related development such a large project would trigger. How would the Arroyo Seco be better off after the $450 million was spent?
Why not choose a location that provides the greatest overall benefit instead of the one that is merely most scenic or most historic?
