Longtime Educator Janice Billings to Retire
From Times Staff Reports
Anaheim Union High School District Supt. Janice Billings, who began her four-decade education career as an English and French teacher at Magnolia High School, will retire this summer.
Billings, 64, who became superintendent in 1996, said she had planned to retire two years ago but stayed on to help the 31,000-student district pass its $132-million construction bond measure last year.
Billings will step down June 30.
