Students’ Self-Serving Protest Was Dealt With
Re “Students Participating in Antiwar Rally Show Christlike Values,” April 13:
The students at Mater Dei school were certainly not Christlike, as stated by Debby Bodkin in her letter.
The school wisely canceled classes and, therefore, prevented violence. The cancellation also served as a method to save these insolent young people from further self-embarrassment. Their ridiculous signs, accompanied by a ukulele and chants, clearly showed that they were interested in one thing: drawing attention to themselves.
