A 43-year-old Long Beach man was convicted Friday of raping his 8-year-old stepdaughter, authorities said.

Eugene Lee was found guilty of six counts resulting from an attack one day last April at the family’s home, said Jodi Castano, the Los Angeles County deputy district attorney who handled the case.

Authorities alleged that Lee began sexually abusing his stepdaughter last spring when she and her mother visited him overnight at Corcoran State Prison.

In April, when Lee was out of prison, he repeatedly sexually attacked the girl in various rooms of their home, Castano said.

Lee told the girl that if she reported the abuse, he would kill her mother, aunt and grandmother, Castano said.

The girl testified during the two-day trial, the prosecutor said.

Lee faces 69 years to life in prison on charges that include aggravated sexual assault of a child. His sentencing is scheduled for June 3.
