Diaz’s pay is said to be a record
Edging out colleagues such as Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz apparently holds the record for the highest annual earnings for a film actress. According to “The Guinness Book of World Records,” the “Charlie’s Angels” star took in $41 million in 2001 alone.
Diaz, whose credits include “Gangs of New York,” “There’s Something About Mary” and the voice of Princess Fiona in the animated hit “Shrek,” could bank close to $45 million in the next year, thanks to two major film projects, an industry source told the New York Post.
She’s expected to earn $10 million to $15 million for reprising her part in “Shrek 2,” due next year. And she’s said to be pulling in $25 million to $30 million for “Fun With Dick and Jane,” now in pre-production for a 2005 release.
