HEISMAN WATCH
THE HYPE
Cody Pickett, Washington, QB
The Husky running game was held to seven yards by Ohio State, but the golden-armed Pickett couldn’t do much to offset that. He was on the run most of the night and completed 26 of 49 passes for a measly 255 yards (9.8 yards per completion). It’s an effort that won’t earn him sympathy points.
THE TYPE
Chris Perry, Michigan, RB
The senior’s 232 yards in 22 carries against Central Michigan were a career high and put him ahead in the recognition game over his namesakes on the PGA Tour and in the English Premier League. Heisman voters would do well to take note.
