Three Jailed in Central Park Rape File Civil Suit
From Times Wire Reports
Three young men who spent seven years in prison for the 1989 rape of a Central Park jogger before their convictions were overturned filed $50-million lawsuits, claiming their civil rights were violated.
Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson and Raymond Santana Jr. filed the suit in Manhattan federal court.
McCray, Richardson and Santana, who were 14 at the time, were convicted of the rape of a female jogger who was found unconscious in the park.
A serial rapist later confessed to the attack.
