Pepperdine (3-4) at Maryland (5-2), 2:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net -- Not only are the Terrapins coming off a 69-68 overtime victory at No. 1 Florida, but in 15 seasons under Coach Gary Williams, Maryland is 98-2 in home nonconference games. The teams have played once -- a 69-64 Terrapin victory on March 14, 1986, in a first-round NCAA tournament game at Long Beach. Jim Harrick was the Pepperdine coach and Len Bias was Maryland’s go-to guy. The Terrapins remain a work in progress, with a roster of nine freshmen and sophomores, three juniors and a senior. Pepperdine defeated Lipscomb, 95-74, Friday night at Nashville.
