But at Least the Angels Are Pitching In, Right?

Share

The Angels ended up with an overeating, overpaid pitcher with questionable work habits that no other team was willing to give a four-year deal to, and a journeyman right fielder who walks once in a millennium over a 27-year-old outfielder in his prime who would someday give us a plaque in Cooperstown with an Angel cap on it.

The fans wanted Vladimir Guerrero, the media wanted Guerrero, the players probably wanted Guerrero. Too bad Mr. Moreno didn’t listen. So much for his big splash, it ended up being little more than a drip.
