2 People Killed in Apparent Gang Attack
A teenager and a 22-year-old man were shot to death late Friday in a gang-related attack, authorities said.
Lt. David Smith of the coroner’s office identified the teenager as Ryon Logan, 17. The other victim’s name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
The victims and gunmen had just talked on the sidewalk about 11:30 p.m. when the shooting occurred at 134th Street and Grandee Avenue, said sheriff’s Deputy Scott Butler. The attackers fled on foot. One had long braided hair, a black jacket and blue jeans while the other wore all black.
Anyone with information about the killings is asked to call sheriff’s homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.
