2 Killed, 1 Hurt in Highway Collision
A three-vehicle crash killed two people and critically injured a 7-year-old girl Wednesday, authorities said. Two others were hospitalized with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
A sedan and pickup collided during a lane change on Sierra Highway near east Avenue N about 5:15 p.m., Sheriff’s Lt. Loyace Mauldin said. The sedan spun into oncoming lanes and struck a van head-on.
A woman and boy in the sedan died at the scene. The injured girl was taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles.
