Authorities are investigating the death of a student at Banning-Carson Community Adult School who was found dead in his bed Thursday after a fight at the Wilmington school.

Fabien Espinoza, 18, complained to his mother about having a headache Wednesday night, a few hours after he got into a fight with another student in the school parking lot, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The next morning at 6:20, Espinoza’s mother said, she could not wake her son. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at his Wilmington home.

Detectives from the LAPD’s Harbor Division are asking anyone with information to call (310) 548-7621 or (877) 529-3855.
