Parolee Is Sought in Killing of Anaheim Man on Freeway

Police were searching Wednesday for a parolee who they said followed a college student onto the Garden Grove Freeway and fatally shot him.
According to police, Nam Hoai Nguyen, 28, of El Monte thought Ryan Cheung, 19, of Anaheim was having an affair with his former girlfriend when he saw Cheung leave her hotel room at 5 a.m. Dec. 22.
Nguyen followed Cheung onto the freeway near Magnolia Street, where he fired a single shot.
A police spokesperson said Cheung and the woman were friends.
