GAME OF THE WEEK

Buffalo at Ottawa, Saturday, 4 p.m. PST
This will be a showdown between the NHL’s two bankrupt teams. The Northeast Division-leading Senators are the league’s hottest team and Marian Hossa has emerged as a scoring machine. If Rod Bryden’s bid for ownership comes through, he will purchase a legitimate Stanley Cup contender. It’s a different story for the Sabres, who despite a recent winning streak have the second-worst record in the league and trail the Senators by 30 points. But Lindy Ruff is a quality coach and that’s why Buffalo is still a tough team to play.
