Boyfriend Suspected in Stabbing Death
A San Bernardino woman was stabbed to death Tuesday by her estranged boyfriend while their 6-month-old child was nearby, police said.
Alexis Pintado, 18, was pronounced dead at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, said Lt. Frank Mankin, a spokesman for the San Bernardino Police Department. The child was unhurt.
Police are looking for Christopher Carlos Carbajal, 20, of San Bernardino, who is suspected of stabbing Pintado several times outside of a home in the 1500 block of West Union Street, Mankin said.
Pintado was dropping off their daughter at her paternal grandmother’s home around 1 p.m. when she and Carbajal confronted each other in the frontyard, Mankin said.
A neighbor who heard screams took the child away while others tried to assist Pintado in the home, police said.
