Storage Unit Body Was That of Wanted Suspect
A body found in a self-storage unit was that of a man wanted in connection with an assault on a sheriff’s deputy, authorities said Saturday.
Christopher Walsh, 37, of Chatsworth died of multiple gunshot wounds, said Lt. David Smith of the county coroner’s office. Walsh’s badly decomposed body was found Wednesday in the 15500 block of Erwin Street in a trash can that was wrapped in plastic and duct tape.
Police said Walsh may have helped David Michael Steinberg, 36, a suspect in a January attack on a deputy, elude authorities.
