The Philadelphia 76ers may have been playing the Portland Trail Blazers, but their minds were still on the Sacramento Kings.

“We had a nine-game winning streak and we lost it against the Kings,” guard Allen Iverson said. “We wanted to get back on track.”

Iverson put the 76ers back on track with 36 points in Philadelphia’s 88-60 victory over the Trail Blazers on Thursday night at Portland, Ore.

Philadelphia was without forward Kenny Thomas, who sprained his right ankle early in a 107-99 loss to Sacramento on Monday. Starting in his place was Tyrone Hill, who signed with the 76ers just before the game against the Kings.

During the game, the 76ers lost Coach Larry Brown, who fell ill and said he probably picked up a bug from his daughter.

“They just said I had some kind of virus or whatever,” said Brown, who missed the fourth quarter. “I am OK, I just got really hot.”

The Trail Blazers had their lowest scoring performance of the season.

San Antonio 92, New Jersey 78 -- Tim Duncan scored 21 points and had 21 rebounds and Tony Parker added 21 points, 10 in the fourth quarter, for the Spurs at San Antonio.

The Nets, who lost their fifth in six games, cut the Spur margin to 83-77 with 1:41 left on jumpers by Jason Collins and Kenyon Martin. But San Antonio finished with a 9-1 run capped by a three-pointer by Duncan at the buzzer.

The Spurs, who allowed Phoenix to shoot 59% in a loss Tuesday, limited the Nets to 36.6% from the field.

The Spurs’ David Robinson left in the third quarter because of a strained lower back, an injury that has plagued him all season.

Chicago 119, Golden State 105 -- Eddy Curry had 24 points at Chicago as the Bulls ended the Warriors’ six-game winning streak.

Curry’s fellow prep-to-pro teammate Tyson Chandler added 23 points and 14 rebounds.
