Officials Identify Body Found in Trash Bin

A man found dead inside a trash bin behind a San Juan Capistrano strip mall was identified Friday as an Indiana resident.
The body of Bret Stanley, 44, clothed in a jogging suit and a ski mask, was found about 8:45 a.m. Thursday by a paint store employee who was throwing out trash in the 31000 block of Plaza Drive, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said.
An autopsy performed Friday was inconclusive. Toxicology tests to confirm the cause of death will take about six weeks, deputies said.
