2 Men Are Arrested, 70 Pounds of Pot Seized
Two Ventura County men were jailed on suspicion of possessing 70 pounds of high-grade marijuana that authorities have valued at $245,000.
Patrick Finnegan, 49, of Ventura, remained in custody Saturday on $250,000 bail and his friend, Richard Levine, 57, of Camarillo was being held on $500,000 bail.
Detectives with a multi-agency task force arrested the men Thursday after a monthlong investigation. Finnegan was stopped while driving away from Levine’s house, with 20 pounds of pot found in his car, authorities said. A search of Levine’s house uncovered 50 more pounds and $27,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
