Corona Clique Has Big Hoof Prints to Fill

Corona Clique will try to follow in her father’s footsteps tonight in the $400,000 Kindergarten Futurity.

Seven years after Corona Cartel won the Grade I race, Corona Clique is putting her unbeaten record on the line against nine other 2-year-olds in the 300-yard race.

She was the fastest qualifier for the Kindergarten, winning her race two weeks ago in 15.38 seconds.

Metallic Lion, Ocean Cartel, Shyann Cash and Beyond Brilliant also have won their first two starts. Ocean Cartel and Shyann Cash are trained by Donna McArthur, who won the Kindergarten last year.

Completing the field are Pencilmein, who will be attempting to give trainer Blane Schvaneveldt his record eighth Kindergarten win; Fast Goin Chick, How Good, Feet Of Flames and Hawkish.
