2 Finalists for Chancellor Await Interviews
The two finalists for chancellor of the Ventura County Community College District will be interviewed by trustees next week, officials said Friday.
Charles Taylor, 52, and Judy Walters, 62, senior vice chancellors at Peralta Community College District in Oakland, will be interviewed during a closed-door meeting Friday. Taylor is in charge of administration and finance at Peralta, and Walters heads education services.
Trustees have been seeking a replacement for former Chancellor Philip Westin since he resigned last fall amid a spending scandal. They hope to hire a new chancellor by July 1, they said.
