* Erin Wiesener, Calabasas: Swept No. 1 singles for the Coyotes (16-1, 14-0), ranked No. 4 by The Times, in a rain-shortened, 13-0 Marmonte league victory over Thousand Oaks (11-5, 8-5).
* Michelle Murphy, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Swept No. 1 singles to lead the No. 8 Monarchs (15-0, 9-0) to their fifth consecutive Serra League title with a 12-6 victory over Santa Margarita (12-4, 7-2).
BOYS’ WATER POLO
* Griffin Gentry, Newport Harbor: Scored three goals, including the game-winner with 3:17 left, for the No. 8 Sailors in a 9-8 victory over No. 5 Santa Ana Foothill in second round of Tru-West Invitational at San Jose Lynbrook High.
