Why Put a Price on Laker Success?
Everyone seems to be having such a good time. But who could possibly take pride in a Laker championship if they won this year? Of what value could such an achievement possibly be to Karl Malone and Gary Payton? Maybe next season when those guys retire with their precious rings, the Lakers could bring in Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter and a few other guys needing fulfillment. It would be so sweet and ironic if the Lakers lost.

Because the “Mailman,” Karl Malone, is now a Laker, he deserves a new nickname. How about “Kindergarten Cop”?

The three most surprising things about the Kobe-Shaq feud:
1. Ugly as it got, Kobe never mentioned Shaq’s free-throwing.
2. Al Davis didn’t sue either man.
3. Jesse Jackson didn’t get involved.
