West Coast Okie will try for his second win in three starts at Los Alamitos in the $37,400 Corona Chick Handicap tonight.

Owned and trained by Adan Farias, the 2-year-old, Washington-bred gelding will break from the outside under jockey Rodrigo Aceves in the field of six.

Since arriving from Oregon, West Coast Okie finished fourth in his California debut on Aug. 15, then five weeks later won the Pomona Juvenile Challenge at Fairplex Park. The son of Okey Dokey Dale followed that up with a nose victory over Billyjeanthequeen in the Autumn Handicap at Los Alamitos on Oct. 10. Tonight’s race will be his first at 400 yards.
