Celebration Proves Costly for Six Titans

From Associated Press

Six members of the Tennessee Titan defense were fined by the NFL on Friday for an end zone celebration during Sunday's victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Linebacker Keith Bulluck, defensive tackle Robaire Smith, safety Tank Williams, cornerbacks Andre Dyson and Samari Rolle, and defensive end Kevin Carter were fined a total of $40,000, for their celebration in the 31-7 victory. Any appeals will be heard on a player-by-player basis.

"We each have to handle it in our own separate ways, is the way I understand it," said Bulluck, who was fined $10,000. "The league's not going to get any of my money. If they uphold it, I'm donating mine to [charity]."

The players were fined for a celebration after Dyson's 11-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second half. The group dance lasted six seconds.

Tampa Bay wide receiver Keenan McCardell did not practice Friday because of a strained right hamstring and is questionable for Sunday's game against Green Bay.

McCardell, the Buccaneers' second-leading receiver with 44 receptions for a team-high 693 yards and six touchdowns, was hurt during practice Thursday. Wide receiver Joe Jurevicius, sidelined since the second week of the season because of a right knee sprain, is also questionable, Coach Jon Gruden said.

Tight end Marcus Pollard of the Indianapolis Colts is expected to be sidelined at least two games after spraining a knee ligament in his left knee during practice Thursday. The Colts also expect wide receiver Marvin Harrison to sit out Sunday's game against the New York Jets because of a strained hamstring.... Wide receiver Eric Moulds of the Buffalo Bills is questionable for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans because of a groin injury. He suffered the injury during Buffalo's victory over Cincinnati on Oct. 5.... Defensive end Raylee Johnson, who has a sprained foot, and offensive lineman Solomon Page, who has a sprained ankle, will not play for the San Diego Chargers on Sunday at Denver.
