Kegel to Rest Shoulder
Washington State quarterback Matt Kegel probably will be withheld from practice this week because of an injured throwing shoulder.
Kegel is expected to return for the No. 12 Cougars’ next game -- Oct. 18 against Stanford, Coach Bill Doba said.
Kegel was hurt when he was sacked in the second quarter against Arizona on Saturday.
The shoulder partially popped out of its socket, but Kegel continued to play. Kegel had full range of motion in the shoulder Sunday.
The Cougars are 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Pacific 10 Conference.
