Boy, 4, Killed by Car Near Day Care Center

A 4-year-old boy being picked up by his mother from a day care center was struck and killed by a passing car Wednesday, police said.
The child had walked past his mother and in front of a double-parked car when he was hit at about 5:30 p.m. by a vehicle in the 2500 block of Cochran Avenue, said Officer Adriana Sanchez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
