Geldings to Be in Seventh Heaven Tonight

The seven geldings in tonight’s seventh race, the $37,800 Pat Hyland Memorial Handicap, are no strangers to the winner’s circle.

Among them, the scheduled runners in the Grade III at 870 yards have won 57 times in 192 starts and earned almost $600,000.

Owned by Teddy Abrams Jr. and trained by Janet Van Bebber, Tiny Chris La Jolla is the leader of the group with $115,222 in earnings. A winner of eight of 28, he is fresh off two easy victories at Remington Park in Oklahoma.

A 5-year-old bred in Louisiana, Tiny Chris La Jolla is the co-high-weight at 125 pounds with Available Credit.

Owned by Cyndee Duke and Roger Wynn and trained by Paul Jones, Available Credit has won eight of 19 and hasn’t been worse than third in six starts in 2003. Ramon Sanchez has the mount.

Heza Mystic Man, Get Solid, My Son Jeremy, Johnny Be Good and Chicks Charger Easy complete the field.
