Pedestrian Hit by 2 Cars Dies

A young woman died Tuesday after being hit by two cars while crossing a Huntington Beach street, authorities said.
Police had not yet identified the woman, described only as 18 or 19. She was crossing Adams Avenue near Huntington Street about 8:15 p.m. when a car driven by a man -- and then a second car driven by a woman -- hit her, said Lt. Ed Deuel, a spokesman for the Huntington Beach Police Department.
It was unclear whether she was in a crosswalk, he said, but added, “it does not appear that the drivers were at fault.”
The woman was pronounced dead at Huntington Beach Hospital, Deuel said.
