Pipe Bomb Found on Magnolia Avenue

The Orange County sheriff’s bomb squad closed Magnolia Avenue on Friday and detonated a pipe bomb that was found in the middle of the street, authorities said.
The 1/2-inch PVC pipe with an unlit fuse was discovered by a motorist in the southbound lanes of Magnolia Avenue near Chapman Avenue about 2 p.m., Garden Grove Police Lt. Mike Handfield said.
The bomb squad closed the street and blew up the device about 3 p.m. No one was injured.
