Stars Get Past Capitals

DALLAS —
Philippe Boucher and Bill Guerin each scored second-period goals to help the Dallas Stars defeat the Washington Capitals, 4-2, Friday night.
Boucher’s goal broke a 2-2 tie. Guerin scored four minutes later. The Stars scored on four of their first nine shots against Olaf Kolzig.
The Capitals are winless in four games since beating the New York Islanders in their opener.
