Fillmore Seeks Input on Plan for the Future
Fillmore officials are inviting residents to a town hall meeting Wednesday evening to help put the finishing touches on a long-term community plan known as Vision 2020.
The meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Memorial Building, 511 2nd St., follows a session held in April, where more than 250 public comments were received on ways to refine the city’s goals. Spanish translation will be available.
As the Santa Clara Valley farm town of 14,000 prepares to add about 6,000 residents over the next two decades, its guidelines stress the desire to “keep a small-town atmosphere in which civic pride, personal well-being and a balanced economy are nurtured and protected.”
Copies of the comments about possible revisions to Vision 2020 are available at City Hall, 250 Central Ave., or by e-mail from Steve McClary, Vision 2020 coordinator, at smcclary@ci.fillmore.ca.us.
