Driver Is Sought in Death of Pedestrian

Police are searching for the driver of a gray Toyota Camry who, they said, fled after he struck and killed a pedestrian.
Charanjit Johal, 44, of Orange died at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana about 5:30 p.m. Monday. He was walking on Wilson Street when he was hit by a 2003 Camry, license 5CUB392, southbound on Tustin Avenue, police said. The driver crashed into a garage, then fled, police said.
