Shannon Stewart drove in two runs and Johan Santana won his fourth consecutive decision, and the Minnesota Twins defeated the Chicago White Sox, 4-1, Wednesday night at Chicago.

The Twins pulled within a game of the American League Central-leading White Sox.

Santana (10-3) kept Chicago off-balance to help the Twins end a six-game losing streak to the White Sox.

The left-hander was winless in his first nine appearances against the White Sox. He gave up six hits and a run in 6 1/3 innings Wednesday.
