Costa Mesa Man Killed in Freeway Accident
From Times Staff Reports
A Costa Mesa man was killed Wednesday in an accident on the Costa Mesa Freeway, authorities said.
The 7:15 a.m. collision occurred in the northbound lanes near Dyer Road when a black Ford Explorer cut off an Expedition, officials said. The Expedition struck a Blazer, which rolled over. James Snyder, 26, was ejected and killed.
The Explorer’s driver left as authorities arrived. He could face “a non-contact felony hit-and-run” charge, because the crash apparently was caused by his lane change, officials said.
