2 Shot, Wounded in Drive-by Attack
A 4-year-old girl was critically injured Saturday in South Los Angeles after she was struck in the head by a stray bullet from a nearby drive-by shooting in which a pedestrian was injured in the leg, police said.
The shooting occurred at 8:30 p.m., in the 600 block of East 52nd Place, according to Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Jason Lee.
The child was in a car seat in the back of her family’s parked car, and her mother and father were seated in front, Lee said.
Two or three males fired several rounds at a pedestrian, wounding him in the leg, Lee said.
